The activities organized by the 'Inocente Hervás' Municipal Library of Torralba de Calatrava to commemorate Book Day are being a complete success.Children and adults have been able to enjoy the story-telling, conferences and readings that took place from April 20 to 23 with a large audience.

On Thursday, the recipients of the program of activities were adults, who were able to enjoy the conference given by the journalist, political scientist, writer and political analyst, Estefanía Molina. The Patio de Comedias hosted this event in which, through his book 'The Political Berrinche', he talked about peripheral Spain versus plateau Spain.
This political scientist and journalist with extensive experience in the Congress of Deputies, reviewed current national politics, where, as she noted, “the territorial issue in Spain has great weight.” As in her essay, the author analyzed the last years of Spanish politics, reviewing the different parties that make up the parliamentary arc.
On Friday the 22nd, as a prelude to International Book Day, the fifth and sixth grade Primary Education students of the 'Cristo del Consuelo' Public School participated in a guided tour of the Municipal Library and read the first chapter of Don Quixote, as tribute to the most universal work of Spanish literature. In addition, they held a bookbinding workshop whose objective was to foster affection for the book as an object.This same day, in the afternoon, the Friends of the Patio Association organized a story-telling by Luna de Bolaños aimed at the boys and girls of Torralba de Calatrava. In it, they listened to stories told and written by the children themselves.
On Saturday, April 23, Book Day, the Friends of the Patio Association performed the play 'El profe', which had violin accompaniment.The last activity of the Book Day commemorative program will take place this Friday, April 29, in the Patio de Comedias, with the conference 'Gallic evil and ethics of an 18th century rural surgeon in Torralba de Calatrava'. The presentation, which will begin at eight in the afternoon, is included in the seminar 'Epidemias and calamities in La Mancha and Campo de Montiel' of the Campo de Montiel Study Center.
