Tell me, can you see, by this morning’s early light, that which we so proudly hailed at the twilight’s last light, whose broad stripes and bright stars were so gallantly streaming, as we watched over the ramparts throughout that perilous fight? And the rockets’ red glare, the bombs bursting in the air, gave proof through the night that our flag was still there. So tell me, does that star spangled banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave?
On the shore, barely viewable through the rising mists of the ocean, where our enemy’s haughty host in dread silence is resting, what is that which the breeze, over the towering steep, as it fitfully blows, half conceals, half discloses? Now it catches the gleam of the morning’s first beam, and in full glory its reflection shines on the stream; it is the star spangled banner! Oh, long may it wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave!
And, thus will it ever be, when free men shall stand between their beloved homes and the war’s desolation! May the heaven rescued land, blessed with victory and peace, praise the Power that has made and preserved us as a nation! Then we must conquer, but only when our cause is just, and this will be our motto: “In God is our trust!” And then the star spangled banner shall wave in triumph over the land of the free and the home of the brave!
How many of us are left who truly think of this great nation in this manner? I have to say that the other night I broke down crying in my car outside my house. Today we have a President who has stated out in the open that because he is president he can do whatever he pleases. “So tell me, does that star spangled banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave?”
We have allowed cultures to bombard us unfettered; cultures which are used to a militarized government and are too afraid to voice their true opinions. And our government takes advantage of that! “So tell me, does that star spangled banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave?”
We have sat back and allowed immorality to spread so much that we are actually arguing whether or not it is murder to kill a baby and even have to justify it by determining when it is a real human being! “So tell me, does that star spangled banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave?”
We are so quick to look for the next easy dollar that we have become a nation of dependents who are afraid to say anything against their corrupt government because they don’t want to lose their free money. “So tell me, does that star spangled banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave?”
We have become a nation who reviles and spits upon those who would die for us. “So tell me, does that star spangled banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave?”
We refuse so much to work for ourselves that we are now nearly fully dependent on the authorities to take care of our problems. “So tell me, does that star spangled banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave?”
We have become a nation of complainers despite our great wealth. “So tell me, does that star spangled banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave?”
Many children are growing up in broken families because our society has accepted divorce as an appropriate way to solve marital problems. “So tell me, does that star spangled banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave?”
Many are afraid to express their religion for fear of offending someone. “So tell me, does that star spangled banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave?”
Our communication with each other is becoming so impersonal that even in the same room people rarely talk to each other. “So tell me, does that star spangled banner yet wave over the land of the free and the home of the brave?”
That flag now waves over a land of cowardly and impotent dependents. It weeps for the thousands of souls lost to save such people. It bleeds for the nearly lost cause of freedom. The blood of a million people cries up from the land in agony over the loss of honesty and integrity in their government for which they fought so hard to defend. Men, women, children, brothers, sisters, fathers, mothers, sons and daughters have died in vain to maintain freedom and liberty in this nation.

It Does Not!
